Italy's future passes through telecommunication networks

The development of 5G networks in Italy is slowed down by stringent regulatory limits and by the unjustified obstructionism of numerous local authorities. The difficult economic situation combined with the stringent regulatory constraints in fact risks complicating compliance with the roadmap of 5G coverage obligations. In this regard, according to what emerged from the "Who is prepared for the new digital age" report issued in April 2020 by the European Investment Bank, Italy's development in the digitalization sector is hampered in particular by regulatory obstacles and excessive tax burdens.
