Fundación IDEA is one of the first public policy think tanks in Mexico. It is a nonprofit, independent, and nonpartisan organization with the mission to design and promote innovative public policies that create equal opportunities for Mexicans through economic development and poverty reduction; as well as being a reliable source of independent analysis to government officials and the general public.
Fundación IDEA is dedicated to generating information and developing policies that positively affect the future of Mexico. Mexico faces many barriers to its sustained economic development and the social and economic mobility of the poor. Fundación IDEA identifies these barriers through rigorous analysis and research necessary to urge changes, influence public decisions, and create appropriate policy recommendations.
Fundación IDEA Executive Director Alberto Saracho Martínez explains why the think tank became a charter member of the Global Trade and Innovation Policy Alliance.
